An instrumental, ambient journey into the inner-space mystic realm.

7 MP3 Songs
NEW AGE: Ambient, NEW AGE: Meditation

Details:
A new voice in the ambient/space/instrumental genres, composer Glen Tarachow dives deeply into a world of eerie and exhilarating fantasy with his debut CD, "Waterclock." An alchemy of soaring guitar layers and hypnotic percussion beats, this highly evocative ambient landscape is darkly soothing and contemplative. "Waterclock" flows continuously without pause, making it supremely suited for deep massage and meditation.

Glen Tarachow is known in the commercial music industry as a composer for television. His work has included eclectic music for PBS, film scores for the Sundance Channel, acoustic jazz for Mercedes-Benz commercials, and extreme rock for Fox Sports Net. Now, with the release of "Waterclock", Glen Tarachow breaks free of the commercial format to present this full-length ambient instrumental CD.

"I felt the need to create something personal and mystical that would help achieve deep states of relaxation," says Tarachow. " I was longing to hear something that would really explore the subterranean realms of human consciousness, diving into the uncharted, the ethereal."

Tarachow''s fascination and facility with music began at age four, when he began piano lessons. A few years later he took up the classical guitar as well, winning a scholarship to the Milwaukee Conservatory. By age eighteen he was writing orchestra scores for the Ohio Chamber Symphony and Houston Ballet Orchestra. He got his first exposure to recording technology and electronic music as an undergraduate at Indiana University School of Music. And it was there that he developed the sonorous, multi-layered style that still defines his sound today.

Tarachow is a founding partner in New York City commercial music production studio RGT Music Productions. He currently resides in Nyack, on the Hudson River with his wife, illustrator Cassandra Boyd, who painted the cover art pieces for "Waterclock."
