"Persistence pays off," could be TEAM ROCKIT''s band motto. TEAM ROCKIT rides high after announcing their 3rd release in four years, the "Duck Duck Goose" E.P., complete with a full-length video on the new "enhanced" CD. Although trite to say, it truly IS their best work yet.

"It took us a couple records to really find our footing and the right members, but it was well worth the wait!" proclaims singer/guitarist, Joe Sanzeri. Joe, speaking from over a decade of experience, has seen bands come and go, but TEAM ROCKIT seems to have "stuck" with him. As the band archives their listing of all the gigs from the past few years, it''s difficult to deny the hard work and sweat poured out in all of the Chicago, suburban, and east coast dates that TEAM ROCKIT has built up since 1999. Fellow drummer/singer, Matt Friscia, who also pummels the drums for Chicago area indie-rock legends POSTER CHILDREN, has helped steer the band and kept the motor running while forging ahead even when the band didn''t have hundreds of screaming fans waiting for them.

"Now that I look back, I''m just glad we kept this thing going and it''s clear to see that we have put in our time doing this purely for the love of performing - and the experiences we''ve had up to this point have just made it interesting enough to continue," explains Matt. Their first full-length video for "She Wants Us to Stay" on the new record is based off of a tour experience in Pennsylvania. After a show, TEAM ROCKIT drove for miles into the back roads of Harrisburg, PA to stay with some friendly ladies from the show. They received a rude morning awakening to find out that they were indeed at a young woman''s parents'' house. "It''s typical for most bands on the road to meet these interesting people, but for some reason the rest of the world thinks we''re crazy for sleeping on people''s floors, trusting in them, and living a ''bohemian'' lifestyle," mentions bassist/singer and final link, Mark Zalewski.

That was then, and this is now. With the rough, but accomplished beginnings of the band''s "The Mirror" E.P. and "Hell on Wheels" (also on Fire-tone Records), the band is now poised for the next level. "The next level" now involves Europe as the band sets their sights on an overseas tour in 2005. A song off of this short but impressive piece of work has already hit German compilation "Modern Noise vol. II" earlier this year. TEAM ROCKIT explains that the short length of an E.P. was in order as most albums aren''t even worth listening to all the way through. Current play for the new video through local Chicago outlets has already started a small buzz. With the band more focused than ever with the sleek, new "Duck Duck Goose" E.P., TEAM ROCKIT can capitalize on anything that comes their way this time around.

For the new and interested folk, all sorts of archives, flyer history, band bios, video, etc. can all be found on the band''s official site at https://www.tradebit.com...and they still don''t care if you like them or not.
