What you hear is what you get. math2-0, (case sensitive) a multi instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and producer has now released his first ever solo album. Taking his time with all new material to tell a relatively sad but beautiful story about “the Two in the Colours. The story line is pretty abstract but it is still present through the whole ten piece CD, either through words, vivid musical landscapes or both.
What genre is this? That is often the big question, and the artist’s reply is equally often, “hey dude man, this is like something totally different and unique, and you can’t like just categorize my music man, yeah like really dude man… etc”... well to totally avoid these worn out clichés how ever true they might be, let’s call the music electroacoustic songs with a touch of ambient landscaping. In fact that would be the most correct description of the music on this album. However, this does not describe what to expect from this 31 year old Norwegian guy in the future, he is known by some for making electronica, noise based ambient sound, rock, rap, drum n’ bass, lounge, stripped down acoustic vocal and guitar songs and the list goes on and on. This might imply that he has a burning passion for music in any form and this makes him highly unpredictable when creating it. That’s a good thing!
