Besides being an engineer, ex-helicopter pilot and a military officer, Mustahsen Gull is a songwriter, composer, and a singer. His passion for music specially singing knows no bounds. He is a vocalist with a voice that will touch your soul. His compositions will enchant you to hum along. His poetry often reflects his life, his sensitivity, and brims with heartaches, messages for all ages, and romance. The world circumstances over the last few years inspired Mustahsen to write Everlasting Christmas. He sang this song first time, a little bit longer version and with slightly different lyrics, in December 2004 in Lake Michigan College Mendel Center Mainstage Theatre in front of a packed audience of about 1500. (cover picture). He remembers that a few people from the audience approached him during the intermission and inquired about how could they get this song? He had to politely tell them that this was his own and since he had not then filed for the copyrights he really could not give them a copy. Another middle age man also came over to him and this is what he said: “This is the kind of songs we should really be hearing on the radio instead of what we normally listen to.” Then another person invited him to come to his church and sing it during one of their Christmas festivities. Well, thanks to internet, now the whole world has an opportunity to listen, download, and even sing along since a sing-along track is also being released. Enjoy and listen to the lyrics. Mustahsen sincerely hopes that one day, irrespective of individual faith or belief, we can really bring to our world an everlasting spirit of compassion, care, tolerance, and love for each other by following the heavenly wisdom.
