Young, energetic high-school aged from Olympia Washington, home of Pearl Jam, and Sleater Kinney, The Crossing continues the legend of Norwest Rock. Songwriter Matt Brenna, just 15, formed the band with Cary Griffin, bass and Tyson Rosage, Guitar. Lead vocalist Nate Hepner and drummer Jevon Wussler rounds out the group when they met and formed The Crossing after competing against each other at a high school battle-of-the-bands. Locally popular with a growing following, The Crossing produced a full length CD for release in April 2004. Energy is a word often used to describe the complex, layered sound of The Crossing. Built with classic rock influences and an ear for experimental tones, The Crossing has played local venues, and has become Olympia''s headliner for all ages shows.
