currently pursuing an Off-Broadway production as Cabaret
Theatre.
Alonzo Levister is one of the group of great jazz-fusion creators of the period from the Harlem ''40''s of Minton''s Playhouse, to the Paris Caves and New York''s 52nd St. and Greenwich Village jazz joints of the ''50''s and ''60''s.
Levister has recently re-emerged after thirty years of silence, during which he waged a successful battle with cancer, spent time for several years as an expatriate in Tahiti. His new CD titled "Jazzanova", is a Jazz/Bossa Nova/Blues fusion.
