Sloth started their musical journey in 2005, gigging mainly in the Tokyo area.
Although their roots lay somewhere in 90''s alternative rock & heavy rock, the sounds you will find here ? oriental phrasing, huge and dramatic structure, emotional catchy melodies and moving lyrics etc. - are undoubtedly just Sloth''s own.
The opening track is an-attack-on-the-senses energetic number titled ''Rusty Glory'' capturing a full atmospheric live feeling. Track two ''Dreamer'' with its exciting heavy sound carries a mellow vocal of Rentaro which may just steal your heart away. The pop sound of track four titled ''Call my name'' will surprise you pleasantly; in fact all tracks reach a high quality and will touch hearts of many who have varied tastes in music. A first & triumphant album ''First Attack'': an aptly named introduction to Sloth''s
irresistible impulsive feel.

2005 - Sloth was formed with 5 members of a music society from the same university. Original members are: Rentaro(Vo), Maresuke(Gt), Goka(Gt), Shimizu(B), and Kuri(Dr).
Dec 2005 Produced 1st demo single ''Rusty glory/The World''. Sold 500, distributed mainly through livehouse.
16 July 2006 Self-promoted event ''Sloth in festive mood vol.1'' was held in Shinjuku Antiknock, gathered an audience of over 140.
7 January 2007 After the second such event ''Sloth in festive mood vol.2'' drummer Kuri left the band & was replaced by Nakano(dr).
1 January 2008 Released first album ''First Attack''.

2005年から関東を中心に活動する『sloth』ルーツを辿れば、90年代オルタナティブロック、へヴィロック、というところから出
ているのだろうが、オリエンタルなフレーズ、壮大でドラマティックな楽曲構成、心揺さぶるリリックを乗せるキャッチーでエモーショナルなメロディ、そこにある音は紛れもなく『sloth』でしかない。
楽曲も実に多彩である。オープニングからライブ感溢れる攻撃的なナンバー[Rusty Glory]で始まり、2曲目[Dreamer]で魅せるへヴィで心躍るサウンドにhttps://www.tradebit.comtaroのメロウな歌声は聴く者の心を奪う。4曲目[Call my name]ではいい意味で裏切ってくれるポップなサウンドで、どれも最高のクオリティに仕上がっている。

2005年、大学の軽音サークルで出会った5人でslothを結成。当時のメンバーは、Rentaro(Vo), Maresuke(Gt), Goka(Gt), Shimizu(B), Kuri(Dr)
2005年12月、1st demo「Rusty Glory/The World」を発表。ライブハウスでの手売りを中心に500枚を売り上げる。
2006年7月16日、新宿アンチノックにて自主企画、「sloth in festive mood vol.1」
を開催。140名以上を動員。
2007年1月7日、自主企画第二弾、「sloth in festive mood vol.2」にて、Kuri(Dr)脱退。後任にNakano(Dr)が加入。
2009年1月1日、初フルアルバム「First Attack」リリース。
