Details:
Satirius Johnson is a 3-piece band that formed when guitarists and singers Alistair Wallace and Casey Brandt began playing with drummer Bruce Engel in January of 2004. Over the 3 years that followed, the band played in bars all over Brooklyn and NYC and built a repertoire of over 20 songs. In 2005, Brandt switched to bass and the band shrank their set to the 6 songs on this album so they could squeeze into the 45 minute blocks most clubs were offering (the Dylan cover was a standby in case they had a few extra minutes).

Today is Probably a Huge Improvement Over Yesterday was recorded live on June 7, 2007 at the Seaside Lounge in Brooklyn in an effort to document the live performance they developed over 3 years of practicing and playing out. The album captures the feel of a Satirius Johnson live show - set up, rip out half an hour of rock, break down and cash in the drink tickets.
