Facts about Carrie Lynn:
*Native Oregonian, calls Portland home sweet home.
*Studied drama and writing in school but when the explosion of NW bands hit in the 90''s, she left the theatre, dropped the pen and paper and picked up the guitar.
*Heavily influenced by melody and artists such as The Beatles, The Kinks, Marianne Faithfull, Mary Hopkin, Elvis Costello, Elastica, Wilco, Mary Lou Lord, and most important to her, many of the Portland, as well as Pacific Northwest artists/bands from the 90''s to now.
*Recorded a few demos in the early 2000''s but none were widely distributed.
*Played with a few start up bands but none really got off the ground. Finding it easier to go it alone, started laying down tracks which would lead to "in the puddle".
*"in the puddle" is the first proper full length record with a collection of 18 songs that span from the late 90''s to the present day. All songs were written by Carrie as well as the playing, recording, mixing, and general album art layout which she wanted to be very much in the spirit of her hometown. The songs are melodic melancholy little pop songs where heartstrings are pulled, losing is a drag, but hope always prevails.
