Composer and Virtuoso Pianist Tim McDonald owns Tim McDonald Publishing ASCAP, and has relocated to Nashville TN. Tim is active with the Va. Symphony and also performs with New York Broadway productions and has performed with Elton John''s, "AIDA", as well as Mel Brooks, "The Producers".
Tim studied with Dan Haerle at North Texas State University and the late Frank Mantooth who edited Tim''s Big Band compositions including "Waltz for Frank" dedicated to Frank Mantooth. Tim''s trio composition of, "Aargh Mr. Scarborough", will be featured in the movie, "A Perfect Fit" by Ron Brown.
Tim has recorded albums with Byron Berline who discovered Vince Gill, Al Perkins, Frank Mantooth, Phil Sampson, Douglas Miller (Count Basie Big Band), Bob Bowman, Russell Scarborough, Dennis Beinem (Pianist for Ike and Tina Turner), Don Hannah, Leon Alexander, Michael Lathum, and Kevin Flowers.
