Details:
I''m A Champion is a new collection of six inspirational children''s songs with sound tracks for ages 4-12. Perfect for children''s choirs, Sunday school, children''s church, summer camps, VBS and family worship. Upbeat, danceable and worshipful songs that will stick in your children''s hearts and heads. A Georgia native, Colleen Capes Jackson and her husband Dwayne have two children, Heath and Whitney and two grandchildren, Wyatt and Gunner. Jackson is a professional songwriter and is a member of the Gospel Music Association, Nashville Songwriters Association International, and Broadcast Music, Inc. Founder and Director of the East Metro Atlanta Christian Writers, she is well known for her work in journalism and has authored 130 articles in newspapers and magazines. Jackson is a member of the American Christian Writers and was named as Writer of the Year at the ACW Conference held in Atlanta in 2008. She enjoys the opportunity to speak at banquets and conferences. A community volunteer for 35 years, Jackson was the recipient of the Community Shining Light Award for Outstanding Service 2003, and recipient of the Heart and Soul Award in honor and appreciation for service to the Newton County Adoption & Foster Care Program and the children in service, 2001. She has cheerfully served as a Sunday School teacher, youth director, playwright and was a member of the church board. As Joyismine the Clown, she entertained children at Disney World, Camp Oo-U-La for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, and clowned for various schools, churches and parades. A member of the Monroe Art Guild, she is an award-winning photographer and enjoys capturing the beauty of God''s creation. Her greatest hope is that children will grasp hold of the little takeaways in each song and rise above what the world tells them they can be. Jackson is employed with DeKalb Technical College as an Administrative Assistant to the VP of Economic Development. The songs in this CD were arranged and produced by John Johnson, Johnson Brothers Recording Studio.
