Details:
Welcome to the fourth volume in the Allen Ensign acoustic collection series. The songs were recorded and collected in the same manner as the previous three CDs, with a final mastering by Jack Endino. Cover and CD label photos are by Greg Savalin although the cover graphics are by Reyzart. The label graphics are by enkimedia. Track one, "Road Signs Are Missing" was recorded by Gary King at HOL, in Seattle around 1995-6. "Just A Friend" was recorded at the Roosevelt House around 2001, with engineering by Ensign. "Freedom Isn''t Free" was penned well before the military turned the phrase into a selling slogan for war. This recording was made in Oakland, around 1991. "Stroll In The Park" was composed for Anisoptera, and recorded by Matt Cameron, and later mixed and mastered by Jack Endino (circa.1996). "Midnight Rain" is an older song from the Ensign catalog, here recorded in 1990 by Bill "Mudboy" Lackey. "Can''t Have You" like the song "Long Ways Down", were rather trademark songs by Ensign during his music career in Seattle spanning from 1986-2002. "Come Sweet Morning" is a pure fingerpick style song, written by the artist when he was about 17 years of age. (Believed to be recorded either in Minnesota or Sacramento around 1977-78.) This version of "Sea of Love" reflects some slight lyrical differences than the full blown arrangement by Anisoptera on Ensign Volume 3. Recorded at the Mudshack around 1990 it is an interesting view into the evolution of a song.
"Checking Out Time" played by Anisoptera, Quisp, and of course, Seahorse, it is a durable song of victory over complacency, of music over the void. "Keep In Touch" is an old tune, with light piano augmentation, written as much to friends and lovers in Minnesota as it was written for the Universal sentiments we all share.

We at enkimedia, would like to thank you for your continued interest in this artists'' music, and we look forward to bringing you more music and film this year!.
