AweStricken is currently a solo project by singer/songwriter Daniel Oestreich, who is also currently serving in the US Marine Corps. Originally meant to be 3 piece group called the Radford Acoustic Project, Daniel decided to do it solo after being transferred for training in preparations for a new job and a 3 year overseas tour. With little time left, Daniel was able to get into the studio only days before shipping out, and record 7 of the songs he had written at that point.
After receiving the master, Daniel consulted with friends and decided that AweStricken was a name that not only described the content of his songs, but was also, conveniently, a spin off of his last name.
The current album, and demo ''to be determined'' was named such originally to just give it a plug-in name until he could later think of a better title. However, ultimately, the name of the album stuck, and also helped to mirror his determination with not only his music, but with his life as well.
AweStricken will be performing at random places and countries, world wide, for the following 2 and a half years, and attempting to gain an international foot hold before his job ends and he returns back to the United States.
