Details:
The Plurals are a three piece rock band from Lansing, MI that formed in spring 2004. All three of The Plurals - Hattie Danby, Tommy McCord, and Nich Richard - sing and sometimes they switch instruments, but a classic power trio approach of drums, guitar, and bass is applied at almost all times. They''ve toured the midwest and the east coast a few times and they''ve been releasing records since the summer of 2004. Whenever people ask The Plurals what they sound like, they look around shiftily and cast the question off onto one of their friends or fans, who then also look around shiftily before eventually answering "uh... a rock band." City Pulse, the revered alternative newspaper of Lansing, referred to them in early 2009 as "pure alternative rock" and some comparisons that the band can generally agree with include The Pixies, Fugazi, and Husker Du. Fans of punk rock and dream pop and everything in between are urged to check out The Plurals, and odds are, through their relentless DIY touring, they''ll probably soon be popping up somewhere near you. The Plurals partnered with Eric Merckling, a founding member of the critically acclaimed space pop band Calliope, to produce the album "Whatevers Forever" that was released on GTG Records and Bermuda Mohawk Productions in 2008 before its full digital release in early 2009. Getting into their fifth year as a band and with all members still in their early 20s The Plurals show no signs of slowing down in the near future. With no end in sight, there''s nothing to do but keep going. Whatevers Forever, indeed.
