I was born in the Netherlands and moved to the United States when I was almost 6 to Oregon. After high school, I went into the Army and was station in Germany. After my three year tour ended, I went to college majoring in music education with an emphasis in voice. During those years, we would throw a quick band together and play at bars and school functions. I guess we weren’t that serious or dedicated to trying to make a living at it to commit a lot of time to it. We also did cover songs and didn’t write any of our own songs even though most of us were music majors.
Since those good old days, I have sung in numerous churches all over the US and around the world. I have been in the Army Reserves and have been mobilized on numerous occasions to include Bosnia twice, East Timor, Iraq and Djibouti, Africa. I always take a guitar with me everywhere I go and have entertained civilians, US and foreign military, Presidents and Ambassadors and provided music for church services for the units I have been assigned to.
Music has always been my passion and I recently started writing my own music. My writing has been very varied in style from something close to Bluegrass, ballads and even a little Rock. Pathway of Life was written and partially recorded while deployed in Djibouti, Africa. I hope that you will find some meaning in each song you listen to because my music is personal and based loosely around my life with a little fiction thrown in and filled with emotion and if it doesn''t reflect what I have experienced, it will tell a story of one of my friends and what they have gone through. I am sure you will enjoy life’s adventure that I take you through.
