My name is Poet Substratum but you can call me Poet (keep shit simple). Im a New Jersey native currently living in Kearny (if you don''t know thats between Jersey City and Newark). I''ve been in love with hip hop and its culture since the age of nine and it is still one the strongest driving forces in my life. I am an emcee that has dabbled in all the elements of hip hop and I am extremely greatful to have shared my experiences within this culture with my crew, my friends, my family...Vital Connection, Next Philosophy, HLH. I am one half of the group Written On Your Psyche, and the co-founder of the independent label Delinquent Soundz Entertainment. Peace to my partner Bolical Jenkins (they were never ready), and to Steve (let the grind begin)! Sine 2004 Written On Your Psyche has released the "First Instinct" 12", our self titled LP, the "In Command" 12" produced by saheebbadhealth with DJ Priority and Mentplus on the cuts and scratches, and our second LP titled "Grounded". We have been featured on Ramadan''s debut LP "Omnidirectional", and also on the b-side of his "Beats By Saheeb" 12" song "Im Like". As far as my solo works go I released "I in the Third Person" in 2011. I only pressed up a few copies so if you got it you truly have a piece of me! Then i suggest you take a few mushrooms and check me with Bolical on his "The Questionmark Box mixtape". As far as the shows go I am pleased to say that whether it was with Bolical as Written or solo with other Vital or Philosophy heads I''ve opened up for or blessed the same jams with artists such as C.L. Smooth, Pharoahe Monch, Prince Paul, R.A. The Rugged Man, Scienz Of Life, The Juggaknots, Asheru of Unspoken Heard, El the Sensai, Tame One, C-Rayz Walz, L.I.F.E.
