Tomorrow to Yesterday is Dan’s latest solo recording. Recorded and produced at his own Studio 19, this CD features 11 new tracks from this songwriter/ vocalist. From the masterpiece ballad “Follow You” to the spirit lifting “Hear it In My Heart” to the funky “ Feed the Groove”, this CD stretches into some new areas of Dan''s vocal range and lyrical perspective.

This CD follows his initial 1996 solo release of “Revolution”, but also the 2001 release “LIVE” with the folk trio "Under the songtree" and the 2004 CD “River To The Sea” with the progressive rock band Simon Apple, which featured Dan as lead vocalist.

Dan’s musical biography is wandering pathway. From acoustic roots in Maine (USA) he journeyed into a northeastern regional 1980’s rock group for a number of years. In 1989-1990 he joined with popular Russian songwriter, Victor Reznikov for writing, touring and recording in the former Soviet Union.

Returning to his acoustic beginnings in the 90’s, he was a winner of the coveted “Newfolk” songwriter’s award at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas in 1995. This was followed by the 1996 release of “Revolution”. In 1997 he recorded the song “Magic In Memories” with Canadian artist Joan Kennedy for the "Uniting the Spirit" compilation CD for Special Olympics. This CD earned gold status in Canada for sales of over 50,000 copies. In 2000, he joined up with Maine folk artists Anni Clark and Lynn Deeves to do a stint with them as Under the Songtree, which produced one live CD in 2001. Somewhat simultaneously, Dan joined forces with the modern progressive rock band out of Pennsylvania, called Simon Apple.

Simon Apple''s "River To The Sea" (released October 2004), yielded the band''s first U.S. Top 10 single in December of 2005 - Hold Me [Like A Lover]- (D. Merrill) . (#10 Adult Contemporary FMQB). The album also features several Grammy-winning and multi-platinum guest artists, including: Legendary bassist TONY LEVIN (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, John Lennon), guitarist BUCK (more cowbell!) DHARMA (Blue Oyster Cult), saxophonist JOHN HELLIWELL (Supertramp), cellist HUGH MCDOWELL (Electric Light Orchestra), acoustic bassist STEVE RODBY (Pat Metheny Group), and trumpeter DAVE STAHL (Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr.). The album was mixed by Grammy-winning engineer, DAVID LEONARD.

In 2006, the largest independent music organization in the world, JPF, ( Just Plain Folks) awarded Dan "Male Vocalist of the Year" for his work with Simon Apple. This from among 25,500 CD’s and over 350,000 songs submitted.

And now, this all comes full circle once again with Dan returning to his acoustic singer/ songwriter roots in this latest offering.
