This fall Topsy Washington is not only making their mark musically, but also on the big screen. On September 24th they made their movie debut in the 21 Productions/ Dark Horse Entertainment feature film "Liberal Arts." Several songs from their new record are featured throughout the film and the band appears front and center, playing live in a major scene. Topsy''s introspective ballad "Storm" has also been chosen for another film, titled "The Extra Hour" currently in production from IndieFilms Limited in New York City.
With each member bringing multiple years of musical experience to the stage, the upstate New York based quintet embodies a youthful yet reflective energy that has garnered them an earnest following. The years 2002 and 2003 found Topsy gigging continuously in order to increase their exposure and fanbase. As of August 2004, the band''s mailing list exceeds 300 in upstate New York, and they''ve only scratched the surface.
