Toraigh (pronounced Tore''-ee) is a Gaelic word meaning "search" or "seek" and represents the search for great foot-stomping, toe-tapping, heart warming music in the traditions and culture of Ireland. The band consists of Mary Dennis, Bob Midden, and Tom DelGreco from Bowling Green, Jack McMahon from Toledo and Mick Gilliam from Findlay, Ohio. Other musicians from the region who have played with the group on occasion include Dave Hawkins from Cincinnati, Peg O''Callan from Columbus, Rick Nelson from Westerville, Ohio, Dave Reddick from Jenera, Ohio, Bill Reeder from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Cole Latimer from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dancers from the Heinzman School in Toledo often perform with this group and those in the audience who can''t resist the call are invited to clap and sing along.
Many of the tunes played by Toraigh are those often heard in traditional Irish music seisiuns (pronounced sessions). Seisiuns are informal gatherings of musicians in a pub, a home or a coffee house. These events are primarily for the enjoyment of the musicians but listeners and dancers are also welcome. Toraigh performs at all of those events and venues at which music is appropriate including festivals, celebrations, weddings, pubs, churches, campfires, schools, universities, family gatherings and anywhere lively tunes and beautiful ballads are wanted.

Two reels: the first, Maid Behind the Bar, a lilting tribute to those who serve so we can imbibe; the second, a tune that belies its title, Drowsy Maggie, with its rugged and relentless rhythm
