TRIGGERDADDY IS: (among other things)
Tim Karr.
Tim grew up in Montreal, Canada but a wandering spirit and a beautiful blonde led him to Hollywood, California. His first album was released on EMI records in 1990, and the single, "Rubbin'' Me the Right Way", raised more than a few eyebrows as well as charting to #1 on some Canadian radio stations. "Tonite, You''re Mine", from that same record, was covered by Contraband for the album "Contraband". Tim music has also appeared in films and radio commercials.
Karr''s music has been described as early Jagger, Lennon, Bowie influenced. "Classic-sounding rock songs with a contemporary edge." From guitar driven rock to finely orchestrated ballads, Karr''s voice whispers with a passionate, bluesy delivery.
Rebirth has come in the form of TRIGGERDADDY, with a brand new CD, "Stereosonic Meltdown", produced by Gilby Clarke @ Redrum Studios in Sherman Oaks, Ca.
Monster players include Gilby Clarke, Johnny Griparic (Slash''s Snakepit), Muddy Stardust (L.A. Guns, Starfuckers, Gilby Clarke Band), Brian Tichy (Billy Idol), Eric Singer (Kiss), Teddy Zig Zag (Guns n'' Roses), Ryan Roxie (Glamnation, Slash''s Snakepit, Alice Cooper), Chad Stewart (Faster Pussycat), Jon E. Love (Love/Hate) and more!
Tim''s Backstory on Stereosonic Meltdown:
So, uh, yeah.. I guess I''m back from hiatus. Or was it self-imposed exile? Maybe it was the restraining order. In any case, reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated...
LONG STORY SHORT: So Gilby Clarke & I hooked up when Matt Sorum recommended me to Gilby. I sang w/Starfuckers at the cat club in L.A. for a while and Gilby and I wrote some songs. He''s one cool cat and the songs were smokin''.
So we said screw it and did a record in his studio. (Yeah, I still say "Record".) A great bunch of talented mo''fo''s came in to make this thing rock the house. They made me a believer. That in itself, my friends, is friggin'' priceless. It''s been a long hard road but well worth the bruises..
