Big Smilley (Martin Johnson Sr.) was born in Los Angeles, CA, he moved to Shreveport, LA at a young age with his family, which was headed by his single mother (he grew up in the Cedar Grove area). He grew up listening to artist such as Parliament/Funkadelic, The GAP Band, and Bootsy Collins. When rap music came into the mainstream,he became a rap enthusiast.
Big Smilley, at the age of 13, started making music with his brothers, he eventually stepped out on his own to start his own trucking company and to found LoDown Records, where he is not only the CEO, he is also an artist on the label.
LOC (Antonio Holmes) was born and raised in Shreveport, LA with his parents and siblings (he grew up in both the Water Side and Cherokee Park areas). LOC''s musical influences include Cameo, Cee-Bo, Whoodini, and Kool Moe Dee. He started rapping at the early age of 14. LOC is the original founder of 400 Block Records, and is currently the CEO of Rich Rollin Productions, where he is also an artist on the label.
When the two come together, you are served up with tracks that makes you wanna get your ''party on'', and tracks that you can sit back and ''chill to''.
