Ould Pound is an Elma, NY-based band with three CD''s and a full lifetime of mutual friendship to our credit. Our band has been on the scene for about eight years, playing clubs, festivals, and weddings all over the area. Using a mixture of folk, celtic, medieval, rock elements and solid, hard-hitting musicianship we have developed a strong following to our foot-stomping, beer-swilling live shows. Our latest disc, "Spiritguide" is the apex of our achievement as a band. Blending the many styles we have evolved through in our time together, we have what we all consider a great album. Each track is a different cultural and stylistic slant on our basic sound. Viola and mandolin master Brian Walnicki and guitar guru Brian Quinn blend their melodies and rhythms with the powerful and precise drums of Shawn Gauthier and bass of Steve Yung. Spiritguide is both fun and dramatic, uplifting and relaxing, in short, a little bit of everything and a great buy.
