MP3 Tubums - Nanticoke Rush

my musical roots are so diversivied it''s hard for me to put myself in a box, but the blues seems to jump to the front in between some heavy rock and perhaps a little folk.

14 MP3 Songs
BLUES: Guitar Blues, ROCK: Hard Rock

Details:
I bought my first guitar for 35 dollars.I was in the Navy and I had just won a hand of poker and some kid stuck this acoustic guitar through the door and said, " hey, does anybody want to buy a guitar?" I said, " how much?" "35 dollars," he said. I said, " gimme'' that thing!"

It was a Kay flattop. really nice! I wish I still had it. I didn''t have an amplifier. I hooked up a pickup on that old guitar and then hooked that up to the wires that led to the needle on my record player. I knew very little about electronics at the time, but I found out later that''s how Les Paul started with the humbucker pickup that he invented several years earlier. That''s par for the course. A day late and a dollar short. Guess that''s how I caught the blues.

I mostly write about things that are real, at least to me.
The cd exposes a lot about my personal trials and tribulations and my most inner self. I''m afraid I wear my heart on my sleeve too much sometimes. I hope that someone might identify with what I''m saying and seek the answer to a better life through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I spent several years on the road doing the bar gig thing and the lifestyle; you know ,the booze and the drugs, almost killed me.

This is all me on the cd, with the exception of the drums. My long time friend and drummer, Barry Lokey, takes credit for the drums. the best drummer I ever jammed with.

Barry and I both are clean and sober now. I''ve been sober since November 17, 1981. I''ve been doing this thing one day at a time for a long time now and hope to always keep it that way.

If anything on this cd touches one soul, it surely will be a success.

Of myself I am nothing. Barry and I both know this. That''s why we call ourselves bums. I''m bum 1 and he''s bum 2.

Thanks,
tubums
