Introducing Craig Tudman and WOMP (World Oz Music Project) CD.

Craig Tudman, award-winning song-writer and producer (UK Songwriting Contest 2004 Finalist) has finally released his long awaited World Music CD, ''W.O.M.P.'' including award-winning song "Old Cairo", an infectious blend of Middle-Eastern grooves with Western lyrics and harmonies in
the ''Rai'' tradition.

From the pulsating horn-filled feels of "We Got Love" and "Mother", to the cool and groovy Latin/Reggae/Funk songs of "Big Talk", "Heart Beats" and
"Baddabingobongo", ''W.O.M.P.'' has something for anyone who wants to dance and listen to original World/Oz music with a difference...

With its original and captivating mix of world rhythms and simple Western pop lyrics and harmonies, Craig hopes the ''W.O.M.P.'' CD will inspire all Global/Australian record companies, television/radio stations and fans to tune in
and get in the groove because:

"...this is the way for music to move forward beyond the retro fads and straight-jacket mentality of the corporate music dollar....I grew up loving pop/rock/blues/jazz music and still do but when I discovered the world of different rhythms and melodies, I heard where everything I had been
listening to came from and I was inspired to learn and grow from this..."

Craig has been writing and producing original music in Australia for many years and his credits include Australia''s first original Afro/Oz band ''Rufaro''. Writing with South African singer, Sese Nonkwelo, ''Rufaro'' played
in most of the major local venues and supported many of the world''s top World Music artists including ''The Wailers'' on their ''Majestic Warriors'' tour, ''Kanda Bongo Man'' and from Zimbabwe, ''The Bhundu Boys''.

With co-writers, ''Boy'' Tommy Mensah, Digiga Ifediorama and Nigel Wagner, he formed ''Shaky Roots'' and again performed to rapt dancing audiences in Sydney.

Due to the frustrations of the local music scene (or lack of it), Craig set up Lorikeet Studios from which he is drawing together other musicians and studios to form a collective ''World Music'' production team in Australia:

"...we have the technology, we have the climate where this music works and we have the talent so we should take advantage of our good fortune and work together to make people feel good about themselves and enjoy life through the music and rhythms of the world..."

Craig has drawn together some of the cream of Australia''s world music musicians on the ''W.O.M.P.'' CD including Gervaise Koffi (African Diaspora), Bob Osae (Afro Moses, Shango Chapter V), Alex Kofi Kotey (Kakalika) and Chris Bright (Majestics, Shango Chapter V) to bring the listener an exciting and exotic yet familiar combination of Reggae, African, Latin and Western Pop songs.

Enjoy the dynamic, original ''World/Oz'' experience of ''W.O.M.P.''...
