ULTRALUST is the brainchild of Des
New York City downtown musician, songwriter, singer and producer.
Des has been deeply involved in the New York music scene for the last ten years doing both live and studio work.
Jack Douglas, The Berman Brothers, Bob Kirschner, Kim Turner and Stan Vincent, Tom Fontana, etc., are just some of the notable producers that he has worked with, learned from and amazed with his unique and brazen style of play.
Des was featured in "from the Ashes" A documentary by Academy winning director Deborah Schaffer. He was also in the play, "The day Jack London got pinched" presented by Tom Fontana, including cast members of OZ. Where he wrote and performed the music, as well, as having a role on stage.
Most recently, "Beautiful you" and "Speed" were used in the Movie "Remedy". Remedy''s cast included members of the Soprano''s, Casino, and OZ. In addition, Des has been asked to write for TV. His compositions can be heard on various shows, from HBO''s "Unchained Memories" to the Discovery Channels "Ultimate tree house".
Des has been intensely involved in the development of a sound that reflects his inimitable spirit---mixing the grit of street rhythms with the edge of rock n''roll. These songs are a chronicle of his life and the and love of New York. Which he calls the Ultralust.
