Kandystand release their new single ‘Love Invasion’, turning up the heat in time for Valentines Day!
The single is a cover of the rare release by ‘Targa ft Shawn Christopher’, which was originally featured on the Westside Records compilation ‘Jackmaster 2’ back in 1988. It’s one of DJ Alodis’ favorite all time house tracks, and after being re-inspired by the 20 years of house seminar featuring Kevin Saunderson at the Amsterdam Dance Event in October 2008, DJ Alodis revisited his original house collection.
Love Invasion made a re-appearance on his decks, and a swift entrance into his studio for a remake.
Kandystand vocalist Katy ‘D’ said ‘As soon as I heard this track, I knew it was a classic and that we just had to get this record out, its full of passion, energy, and its brilliant that we could get it out in time for valentines – it’s time for a li’l loving everywhere’
A remix competition was held in association with https://www.tradebit.com, and 3 remixes made it to the final release. The release features mixes by Hungarian producers DJ Molek & Adams-X, Lawrence DJ from Italy, and Olivier Guy, a French producer currently living in the UK.
DJ Alodis also put together a radio and extended ‘Big Wheels’ remix, bringing the total mixes on the release to six!
