Bio
Born and raised in western Canada, Gus Verstraten lives in Victoria, BC with his wife and two daughters. Having played in a variety of bands during the 60''s and 70''s, his musical influences include rock, blues and jazz with an emphasis on the soulful. In the early 80''s his attention turned to composition, songwriting and recording.
After accumulating a catalogue of instrumental material, the idea for a CD release began to take shape. Contemplative, relaxing music to calm and soothe the spirit is the focus of ''Inner Journey''. Gus plays several acoustic instruments and makes use of the latest digital sound tools to enhance the music.
