"Peasants with Shotguns" is the new EP from NYC-based, indie-cult band "Hunting Bigfoot", delayed, due to a cease-and-desist order by Hilton Hotel Corp over the inclusion of "Waldorf Astoria".
"It''s a friggin love song to a hotel" singer Paul Rowan explained. And while vandalism & love don''t typically go hand-in-hand, the band wasn''t expecting such legal heavy-handedness.
"Our last CD, we had a song about Cape Cod Potato Chips" Rowan continued, "and they sent us 200 bags of their chips when they got wind of it & were very cool, their people even came to our shows...now I wasn''t expecting free nights at the Waldorf Astoria, but doesn''t their legal team have better things to do...no one who listens to us, would ever even stay there."
Such controversy obscures the fact that "Peasants with Shotguns" is an EP that blends the rage & loneliness of the underdog child with the heart & humanity of the new outcast adult.
Lyrically colorful & the antithesis of cliche, this new HB EP is a whirlwind journey of anthemic punk songs, trippy chill-out numbers & quieter acoustic reflections.
