Details:
Volant is the music written by twins Keith & Kevin Harrison. They recorded their debut EP at Synchromesh Studios in the summer of 2003. Producer Jason Elgin (Virgos Merlot, Wayne, Haste, & Lynam to name a few) directed and engineered the project. After much collaboration with Elgin and a lot of hard work - the EP began to take shape. The songs began on acoustic guitar, and came to life with brilliant production by Elgin and the help of guest musicians: Rodney Reaves, Michael Swann, Jon Hornsby (all from Wayne) and Jacob Bunton (Lynam, Mars Electric). Using these talented resources (all from Birmingham), the Volant EP was born.
Recently the band has been fortunate to have David Crenshaw (Ruben Studdard, Just a Few Cats), also from Birmingham and a student at Berklee College of Music, Boston MA, as a collaborative partner and drummer.
Volant is currently writing and recording songs for their 2005 release.
