Details:
THATZ HIPHOP- Evokes memories of a time in HipHop when the music was fresh and young. MC''s had their own styles and each one blessed the MIC with a lyrical prowess and depth of verse content which made the listener think. Sometimes a listener would have to listen more than once to totally get it!! MarXman''s EP album has modern HipHop beats with that deep lyrical and prophetic content, just like somethin you would hear from a Rakim, Biggie or JayZ!!! In the title track THATZ HIPHOP he expertly speaks about the evolution of HIPHOP from where it was, to where it is, and also where it is going.., If you are looking for music that has something to say, check out this EP-THATZ HIPHOP.., This goes out To all those who love HIPHOP.., MORE ABOUT MARXMAN: my influences are the 80''s early 90"s RUN DMC, LL COOL J, FAT BOYS,PUBLIC ENEMY, RAKIM, KRS, BIG DADDY KANE, COOL G RAP, SLICK RICK, DOUG E. In my oppinion hip hop was in its purest form during this era of so much versatility. You had ya party artist , ya smooth luva artists, ya hardcore struggle artists, ya black power artists, and ya hustlas. HIP HOP was at its strongest and it was a movement . I loved this era . You had the graffiti and the breakdancin'' It was a Culture back then . I distinctly remember the kangols and the gazelle glasses and windbreaker sweatsuits we use to wear by adidas and nike and how we use to breakdance, rhyme , and beatbox before 1st period in grammar school outside on a piece of cardboard. I use to be in class drawin B-Boys and graffiti and we tagged bathroom stalls and train stations wit da fat permanent markers and graf cans ( those who know --know what I''m talkin bout. tHE SHELL TOE ADDIDAS, SUEDE PUMAS, 2 '''' THICK LACES, NO LACES!
