It was from the jump start that there was something unique about the Water Man. Born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Christian parents, Water Man demonstrated remarkable music talent. He began to write songs at the age of nine.
By the time he hit his teens his life changed into what he calls a musical adventure. Water Man has been through almost every aspect of music ranging from rap (hardcore hip-hop) to classical and every thing in between. In 1993 he was in a R & B group called Triple G which had the opportunity to open up for the Four Tops at a reunion concert in Stockton, California. Following that he took his talents to another level in a rap group called "H.M.N" where he was formerly Known as "Wolf Man".
In 1997, after he went down in the water, all of his ideas in music changed. With time he transformed into a musical "mad scientist" with the neo soul sound. As you will hear in Water Man''s music, he portrays a character that is childish, silly, crazy, preaching evangelist whose crazy antics make you laugh. At the same time he gets his message across.
Water Man''s musical influences are Herbie Hancock, Roy Ayers, Quincy Jones, the 70''s & 80''s Sesame Street and Electric Company television programs. If you are familiar with gospel music, you have never seen a gospel artist like him. His production is truly revolutionary.
