Details:
JEREMY began his musical studies at age seven on a Yehudi Menuhin Scholarship at Nuvea Learning Center in the Bay Area. As an original member of the Ragazzi Peninsula Boys'' Chorus, and while attending advanced piano and theory classes at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco, Jeremy quickly was exposed to a wide spectrum of musical education. Through Junior High and High School he performed with Jazz Bands, accompanied School Choirs, and was Vocal and Musical Director of several Musical Productions. Jeremy then attended UC Santa Barbara where he had the experience of composing and performing with singers and orchestral ensembles. In 2000, Jeremy graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Composition. Since College, Jeremy has had opportunities to play on Cruise Ships through Hawaii and Alaska, accompany a singing group in Switzerland, and has done several USO Tours with the band Ballentine all over Europe and Central America. Jeremy is located in Los Angeles and is currently working on several projects including session work and film scoring.

I have always known that my true passion with music was creation. The desire to be original always outweighed any style of music that I ever played. As a composer, I also became that much more capable of interpreting the music of other composers when I played their music. I love to compare playing music to acting or reading a script: you can get all of the words correct, but it''s the unspoken words, or notes, between the lines that brings the character''s inflection to a whole new level.

Although most of my compositions can be played from the piano, some of them were written and intended for other instruments of the orchestra, and in some cases, the full orchestra. Sometimes when I am playing, I secretly imagine an entire orchestra playing with me. I find that this enhances the colors and richness of some of the musical phrases. I tend to think of the piano as a tool that I use to bring the music from my soul to life!

The music that I write tells stories. These are stories without words; they are told through feelings and experiences. Generally with most of my ''songs'', you can hear the first theme or phrase right away. (You may even hear it a second time just to get the idea.) The first phrase reflects a light or transcendent color. There can be a second theme or transition, but this time it develops further into a darker and more intense mood. As the piece reaches a climax or a plateau, there is a break and finally a return to the original theme. As the familiarity of our first theme sets in, as an audience, we feel that we have traveled through an experience; that we have actually learned something. Upon returning home, we can see the journey that we traveled in a whole new light. I call this process a "musical arc" and it also parallels the formula for every art form that exist in time. From a movie script, to a dance sequence, novel or a poem, a similar structure is used: an introduction of a theme, develops into a climax or breaking point and then reverts back to a conclusion of the original theme. I prefer to demonstrate this process without words.

Some people ask me what the stories are specifically about in my music and I say love, loss, pain, new beginnings, and all other life experiences. My experiences? Maybe. But without words, everyone''s interpretations are welcome!

Dreams is a collection of my most treasured creations over the last several years. From the earliest work "Moon Child" to "My Dearest Someone" the most current, each ''song'' tells their own story of love and life. Furthermore, the ''songs'' together create a greater journey that follows the same musical formula on a higher scale!

Spiritually, Dreams represents a reflection of where I''ve been and where I want to go. It illuminates for me a journal of the past and a map of the future. As abstract and as beautiful music can be, ultimately, I hope it will simply reflect in our lives true inspiration!
