whirlwind was a popular singing group in the 70s signed formerly with roulette records with songs "don''t let him get the best of you", "full time thing" and others...these songs were very popular overseas and the 45s have become collector https://www.tradebit.com tight harmonies of these brothers and sister, rev. charles ancrum, sandy & ed attracted the attention of producer/writer ron foster back then and he joined their family as arranger/writer on all of the songs offered on this current https://www.tradebit.com only song not written by ron is the haunting ghanaian folk song "jesu, jesu". the song was re-arranged by ron foster and the group transforms this simple melody into a very listenable version.
the songs were cut some time ago but were recently re-mixed and released by ron foster on his own label ronfo music & art based in paterson, new jersey u.s.a. home of debbie records, silk city sound and the great records by soul singer lee mcdonald aka: cleveland parker of "sweet magic" fame. two of the songs were backed up by the st. john''s choir from paterson, new jersey. praise him and jesu, jesu. this choir is made up of local spanish singers with a very unique sound. they added a particular flavor to these tracks.
