Details:
Will Hawkins was born in Sleepy Hollow, a small upstate New York town on the Hudson River which is the home of the infamous Headless Horseman and a General Motors factory.

He started started out after college as an engineer working on projects with Diana Krall, George Benson and Dr. John as well as getting to work with some of the best producers in the business including Tommy Lipuma, Kedar Massenberg, Stewart Levine and Al Schmidt. Will later moved to the radio promotion side of the business and secured radio play for a number of singer-songwriters including Jonatha Brooke, Richard Julian, Everything, Robben Ford and Ani DiFranco. He then found himself managing the careers of up-coming songwriter Jamie Block (who was the first artist signed to Glen Ballard''s Java/Capitol label) and composer David Yazbek, who went on to win a Drama Desk award and a Tony nomination for his highly successful score for "The Full Monty".

Will''s career then took an unexpected turn as he found himself writing songs again. He attending many songwriting workshops around the city, including the much heralded New York Songwriter''s Exchange hosted by Jack Hardy with members like Frank Tedesso and Suzzane Vega. Will continued to perform around the NYC club circuit and became the host of the critically acclaimed Roundtable Sessions, a monthly showcase of local songwriters presented by CB''s Gallery. Guests on the show included some of New York Cities best and brightest including Owen McCarthy of The Everyothers, Erik Della Penna of Kill Henry Sugar, Sean Altman, Sophia Ramos, John Carlin, Dorothy Scott, Jennifer Kimball and Grammy winner Jesse Harris.

Will''s songwriting skills continued to grow as he embraced the influences of his idols Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Elvis Costello, Martin Sexton and Bruce Springsteen. It was during this time that Will wrote a collection of beautiful and introspective songs that show his maturity as a songwriter and proved that he has a unique voice and a personality that sets him apart from the field. These songs have now become his debut CD "Next Stop Bedford Avenue".

"Next Stop Bedford Avenue" is an album written at the crossroads of Will''s life with Williamsburg, Brooklyn as the backdrop to his tales of redemption, hope and loss as witnessed in back alleys, rooftops, dimly lit bedrooms, and smoky taverns of New York City. His vocal delivery is that of a man possessed with emotion and determination. Often compared to Bruce Springsteen and Martin Sexton, Will gives heart-filled and intense performances like few have ever seen. He has toured the country and regularly performs in NYC clubs like BB Kings-Times Square, The Village Underground, the Living Room and CB''s Gallery where he has performed with such great artists as Tom Freund, Jennifer Kimball, Susan Gibson, Phoebe Legere, Tom Verlaine, Jenifer Jackson, George Clinton, Todd Thibaud, Ina May Wool, Richard Julian and recent Grammy winners Jesse Harris and Norah Jones.

Will ''s self-produced debut "Next Stop Bedford Avenue" is scheduled for release in March 2003.
