Details:
Hailed by https://www.tradebit.com as "a troubadour from olden times who''s just visiting this era," singer/songwriter Christopher Wilson began his musical journey at the age of nine, playing guitar and singing in church in his hometown of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The combination of Christopher''s dynamic vocals, guitar prowess and pop/rock writing sensibilities has garnered a range of positive reviews: "otherworldly...not from this time;" "triumphantly upbeat pop poetry;" "thought-provoking lyrics reinforced by strong, emotional vocals."

At the age of seventeen, Christopher legally ran away from home by enlisting in the U.S. Army. During this time, he began writing songs and taking classical guitar lessons. While stationed at Johnston Atoll in the South Pacific, he formed a pop/rock cover band called LSD (Lab Sciences Division, his military specialty), later known as Da Gecktones. Playing shows for mostly rowdy military crowds taught him a lot about live performance. Upon discharge from the military, he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, and spent the next five years performing in rock cover bands and began an original alternative rock project called Blanket Party which featured his first-written songs and lead vocals.

In the spring of 1994, Christopher relocated to New York City, where he adopted the stage name "Wilson Christopher" and spent the next three years honing his sound as a solo artist in East Village venues such as Sidewalk Cafe, CB''s 313 Gallery and The Spiral. In the summer of 1996, he performed for the first time in his hometown at the Harrisburg Arts for Peace and Justice Exhibition. Later that fall, he showcased at the Philadelphia Music Conference before moving to San Antonio, Texas, where he continued performing in local clubs as a solo acoustic act.

In the spring of 1998, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he still lives and performs regularly at Houston-area coffeehouses, clubs and cafes. On June 21, 2001, Christopher''s solo debut CD--East Mall Daze--was released on his own Cattle Call Records label. East Mall Daze received much praise from critics and fans alike, with numerous allusions to the alternative sounds of yesteryear: music that was inspired, original and passionate. The songs "Calling Kerry," "How Why & When," "Family Function," "Arnold Avenue" and "Wildflower" were featured on local radio shows in Houston, Austin and San Antonio, Texas. In addition, East Mall Daze received scattered airplay nationwide on numerous college, public and internet radio shows. The official street date for East Mall Daze was April 2, 2002, via Southwest Wholesale distribution.

Christopher Wilson is currently recording new material for his upcoming sophomore release entitled "Read On." The new CD will feature quite a few surprises and is slated for release in early 2006. Also in the plans will be his first-ever national tour to promote the new CD. Stay tuned!
