ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Punk

Details:
In "Sick World", Wise''s debut, singer/songwriter David Weise is picking up momentum from his band efforts with "Cyrus" and "Dead Family". The album is being serviced by Mia Mind Music to over 400 commercial, college, public and community radio stations nationwide. Fronting local New York bands, David Weise received strong national reviews, developed a cult following, and charted on college and commercial radio from word of mouth alone. From Hits magazine, "in this world of similar music it is always a pleasure to hear something unique".

Their track "Protozoa" on the album "We Are A Dead Family" was a social commentary about obsession with television and was in rotation on commercial radio Classic Rock, Tallahassee. From Hits magazine, "There is a myriad of musical styles as each song diverges from the one preceding. Harmonious, melodic and intriguing sounds keep one interested, yet it is still hard enough to please a heavy crowd. The music conveys a message of pain and distrust with a dose of comic relief".

"Sick World", straight from Coney Island is a rollercoaster ride, from the satire of track "Sucker", the fun of track "Pepperoni Pizza", to the sentamentality of "Nothing At All". The CD was co-written with producer Johnny Young (Emmy Award winner and Just Plain Folks Album of the Year winner) in the months after 9/11/01. The recording studio was in walking distance of the tragedy, a constant reminder. The title track "Sick World" reflects 9/11/01 with the lines "I saw the towers go up in flames, I could feel love, I could feel the pain". Track "Nothing At All" is an attempt to understand the changing world post 9/11/01 and where we stand in it. On the lighter side, the song "Pepperoni Pizza" is a really fun tune. Also, the parity of "Sucker" displays a quirky humor about modern life.

Wise''s debut "Sick World" is a contribution to the rock/punk experience. Straight from Brooklyn...take a listen.
