MP3 Woodburning - Fall Back

Mostly acoustic, sometimes electric, coffeehouse anthem-esque (or not), music how it was meant to sound

5 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Acoustic, ROCK: Americana

Details:
Woodburning was formed in Atlanta, GA in mid-2002 by principle songwriters Brian Smith & Jake Schwab. Beginning their employment at a telecom/engineering firm within days of each other, the two men found themselves sitting in nearby worker-cubes. Talk of music eventually and inevitably occurred, and Brian found himself enthusiastically borrowing CDs from Jake''s 200+ disc binders. Brian eventually went out on a limb and told Jake he was a musician, "and would you like to hear some of my stuff?" Demos were shared. Walls were broken down. One night that summer, they got together for the first time, and ended up writing a song together, unlike either had ever written before. A few songs and months later, Brian and Jake were playing duo-acoustic shows at local coffeehouses, with set-lists comprised of mostly covers of Seattle rock with a few originals thrown into the mix. The sound was a hodge-podge blend of Counting Crows, R.E.M., Toad the Wet Sprocket and Alice in Chains. With the addition of a bassist and drummer (with Jake''s brother Dan on the skins), the band found themselves a powerful four-piece. The band currently consists of Brian (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jake (backing vocals, lead guitar), and Dan (drums, percussion). A bassist will turn up eventually, Jake & Brian do their best to fill in as co-bassist in the meantime. With around 30 co-written songs under their belts, they stand poised to move forward...into...the FUTURE!!
