The inspiration for “Promises of Love” came from the desire to write songs based on Christ’s Promises to me, rather than me making promises to Him. Most songs were written at a time when I had become disabled and could no longer earn my daily bread. The Lord made it clear how totally dependent I am on Him. The album is Gospel/Country in flavor, a bit more contemporary in sound than my first two albums. I believe many of the songs will help encourage any listener who may be experience trials or trying times such as “Lord You’re So Beautiful”, “Guide Me Home”, “Someday”, “Anytime, Anywhere”, and “A Final Goodbye”. “Jesus Lives in Me” is my first recording with percussion and is a great song about God’s predestinated grace to mankind. “The Reason Why” is another first, a story song about losing a loved one. “A Woman Like You” is written for a special gift from the Lord, my wife Joanne! “There’s a Train” was inspired by a series of sermons by my Pastor comparing trains (one of my favorite hobbies) to the Trinity. “Christ is the Answer” was inspired by a sign on the hill above our church that shines it’s message to all who pass by route 86 in Corning NY where I live. Jesus is “THE” Answer to everything! “Father Above” gives praise to the Lord for all His goodness! I pray this album is a blessing to all who here it, the songs certainly have been a huge blessing to me! Also check out my albums “A Calvary Christmas” and “The Flood or the Cross”
