Minister Witcher is a native of Gretna, VA who now resides in Graham, NC. He is the son of Vernell C. Witcher and the late Russell Kelly Witcher, Sr. of Gretna, VA. He has served as Minister of Music for churches in the VA and NC areas. He started his spiritual journey around the age of 9 at the CherryStone Missionary Baptist Church, Chatham, VA. There is where he began playing the piano for the choirs of the church around the age of 13. Truly, this was a training ground for him. He started out not knowing anything about music. He took a few lessons from Mrs. Alpha Owens of Chatham and Randolph Witcher. But for the most part, with the help of the Holy Spirit and much practice, Russell became a well-accomplished musician. During his high school years, he continued receiving musical training by participating the marching/concert band. In 1988, Minister Russell Kelly Witcher, Jr. relocated to the Burlington area to pursue a degree from Elon University. While pursuing his degree, he studied music theory as well as took private music lessons. In 1992, he received the A.B. degree in Psychology with a minor in Religion. Recently, he received the Master of Theology degree from Trinity Southern University. Since that time, he has continued his ministry of music in the area along with his preaching ministry which started in 1994. Russell is currently serving as Church Musician and an Associate Minister at White Rock United Holy Church where Elder David Henderson is Pastor. Russell''s ministry began to go in a new level around the mid 90''s. God began to put songs in his spirit. In 2001, he released a Gospel CD entitled "Caught Up" featuring Yvette E & Inner-Faith Chorale. Russell is "well-seasoned" in the music ministry. He is versatile in his playing the keyboard. He can play any form of Gospel ranging from traditional to contemporary. He is also a writer/minister who believes in seeking the heart/mind of God in his writing and every other endeavor in life. Russell''s spiritual goal is to be a "reallllllll" worshipper because God will not tolerate phonys. It is his heart''s desire to lead people into a meaningful worship experience/relationship with the Heavenly Father. Russell is available for speaking engagements as well as other functions. Her ministry started as a young child under her mother, Mrs. Louise Enzlow who played piano for various churches in Greensboro, NC. Yvette sang with the Family Group called the "Gospel Crusaders", St. Phillips Deliverance Ensemble, The Rising Gospel Singers, and others. She has traveled throughout the Carolinas, Virginia, and other places proclaiming the Gospel through song. She has done other projects: "Crossing Jordan" and "Where Would I Be". She loves people and using her gift to the Glory of God. She is the loving mother of three children: Derek, Ronnie, and Annette; and the grandmother of "DJ". She solicits your prayers and support as she ministers. Yvette has a powerful voice which has a sound of pure Gospel with a R & B flavor. She is a versatile singer and one who sings with conviction. Inner-Faith Chorale
Inner-Faith Chorale is an Ensemble comprised of members of various churches in the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area of NC. They have sung throughout the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia, and other places. They have ministered on musical programs, anniversaries, weddings, funerals, etc. They are people who love God and who are striving to do God''s will. Roderick Brower is the choir''s director.
