Joe Zapata''s tragic, untimely death occurred shortly after his vocal recordings were made for another Kotter Music Album entitled,"My Song is You".
Originally from San Antonio Texas, Joe resided on the Gulf Coast since 1973. In the 1980''s, one of the most popular bands on the Coast was "Zapata''s Revolution". "Joe Z" was not only well known for his great voice and entertaining ability, but also as a song writer, a good husband, a father, a grandfather and a friend to all. He was always ready to put together a benefit for anyone in need. His generosity touched the lives of many people over the years. In addition to his live performances, he appears on several Albums including his own, "Zapata''s Revolution". He is greatly missed by his wife, his family and all of us at Kotter Music.
Lisa Mills, a native of Mississippi, has been playing guitar and singing in the coastal areas of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida for well over a decade. During this time she earned a college degree receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts with certification to teach Art in the Spring of
2000.
Since her recordings with Kotter Music, she has been affiliated with the late Janis Joplin''s Back-up Band, "Big Brother and the Holding Company". On Her last trip to Europe with them, she sang before crowds of over 50,000
