Details:
It may not be a generally known fact that bands have a very hard time coming up with names.

"Zero Ted" is a bandname that originated in South Dakota as far as we know, has been through many incarnations and genres, and will probably continue to do so.

This incarnation of the band Zero Ted consists of three singer-songwriters: Steve Wood, Beth Fitchet Wood and Daniel May, all of whom have endless credits to their names.

But all have a difficult time naming bands.

Steve Wood started the famous Southern California surf band "Honk" (note the name) in the early seventies, who recorded music for the surf film "Five Summer Stories".

He has continued to make music for the producer of that film, Greg Macgillivray, throughout the years, and has at least 20 IMAX film scores to his credit, including "Everest" and "The Living Sea".

Steve was musical director for Kenny Loggins throughout the eighties, and produced many CD''s of all kinds of music for artists all over the world.

Recently, he completed a CD for the great Greek tenor, Mario Frangoulis.

Beth Fitchet Wood was in the Honk band with her husband Steve.

After having about as much fun as was humanly possible in those bands during the seventies, she settled down and had two boys.

(Nate is the drummer on this CD and plays drums with "The Calling") She had a pretty good time doing that too, while recording two children''s albums, performing live and writing her own music.

She made a CD with the group " The Girls" (note the name) called "That''s What Dreams Are For", and most recently made a CD of her own music, "Silos" (there''s the name thing again) with fellow Zero Tedders.

Daniel May is the educated guy in the group.

He has a doctorate in composition and orchestration, employing those skills with Steve on the IMAX films.

He is one of the best jazz pianists ever, and proof can be heard on innumerable jazz CD''s, with Barbara Morrison, Kate McGarry, etc.

His compositions appear in "Memento", "Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town", "Pizza Man", and the whole Medieval Times show.

The common ingredient here (other than an appreciation for each other''s music) is a dearth of opportunity to perform and produce their own music.

"Zero Ted" is their solution to that problem.
