Details:
Kanako was born in Osaka, Japan.
She started to play the accordion since 4 years old.
She won Japan Accordion contest at the age of 17. After graduating high school she learned accordion in France.
Kanako studied at Conservatoires municipaux de Paris for two years and then at the Centre National et International de Musique et d''Accordeon (CNIMA) for two years. During her study in France she won the All-France Accordion Contest.
Kanako had been playing classic music in France and French musette after coming back to Japan. These years she has been playing mainly her self-composed tunes. She started "Solo Project" since 2005, playing accordion solo for full concert of 90 minutes.
So far she has released 5 albums.
Her goal is to play the accordion until over 80 years old.
