Details:
My name is Paul Tsasa. I am married, to my wife Ruth of nearly 15 years and we have two wonderful boys, Joshua(4) and Caleb(3).

I was born and raised in Congo DRC (Africa). After accepting Christ at the age of 13, I joined a local boy''s choir in the city of Kinshasa. This was one of the few choirs that used musical instruments in church, such as guitars. I quickly adapted to the style of singing and began to discover the musical talent God had placed in me.

Coming from a large family of eight (4 boys and 4 girls), it didn''t take long before my family became an extension of the church choir. We started singing as a family all the while helping our father with his church planting ministry.

I yearned to play a musical instrument (especially the guitar), but my parents could not afford one nor were any kind of lessons available.

My family relocated and I ended up having the opportunity to teach myself how to play the guitar. It was locally made, owned by a friend in the neighborhood but a guitar nonetheless. There were about 4 of us (friends) taking turns, trying to learn how to play all at the same time. In order to make use of my time, many times I found myself "playing" throughout the night.

One Sunday, a missionary that came to preach in our church was really touched by a song my brother and I sang. After the service, he asked my parents if they would allow us to go visit and play music together.

He had 2 acoustic guitars and an electric bass. We tought him some of our songs and he taught us some English songs. It really didn''t take long for this trio to blend. Before we knew it, we were going from church to church ministering and evangelizing through music and testimonies.
This was the beginning of the SANGO MALAMU (Good News Ministry).

In 1980, the group was invited to take part of the Key Note City fund raising sponsored by the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church (C&MA) to help build churches in the capital city of Kinshasa.

In 1984, we toured the US and Canada to raise funds for a Recording Studio (Sango Malamu Radio) in Kinshasa.

In 1986, the group was invited to represent the music for the continent of Africa at the Billy Graham International Conference in Amsterdam

In 1987, we toured the continent of Africa for an Evangelistic program put together by the Billy Graham Association and the C&MA.

In 1989, I attended the School of Audio Engineering in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada.

In 1994, I joined the French outreach ministry in the Triangle area of North Carolina, U.S.A. serving in the praise and worship ministry

In 2001, I started the New Song recording Studio.

In 2002, I joined Crossroads Fellowship in Raleigh NC (my local church) where I''ve been serving in the praise and worship team.
In 2003, initiated the rebirth of the group Sango Malamu (Good News) in the US with the vision of spreading the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ in our songs and Testimonies.
I am proud to mention the group members who are faithful partners in this ministry. Justin & Bakoma Kokolo, Eugenie Kiela, Rodney Tsasa, Ruth Tsasa, Joseph Tsasa & Augustine Massiala.
