Despite much damage done to the manuscript sources, and much music being lost, what little medieval English music that does survive gives us a rare and precious glimpse into what must have been a vibrant musical culture.
On this recording, medieval scholar and musician Tim Rayborn presents some of this variety on reconstructions of medieval instruments, as well as with the voice.
