By incorporating the technology of the 90''s with emotional vocal arrangements, The Azoic compose an "atmospheric electronic landscape that creates a solemn, almost reverent atmosphere," according to Kim Leddy of the Columbus Alive.
A majority of the songs have a distinct cold synthesized feel with mystical and apocalyptic overtones. Our music is either penetrating and intrusive, or retains a subtle esoteric feel. The vocals provide the irony of the pure and ethereal versus the dark and distorted.
Soaring synthesized sounds are processed through a computer with layers of vocals above. Samples from various movies are used throughout the music. Each song is a journey into a dark realm transitioning from ambient instrumental to a pulsating industrial feel.
Steve and Kristy, of THE AZOIC, have worked very hard on new material, touring, and promoting the band. Our newer direction is still dark, but is definitely more dance oriented with more of an emphasis on Kristy''s vocals. Both members are excited to see what the future holds...
