1 - BIOGRAPHY
a. WHO IS BOBBY DUNN?
Throughout most of the years of his youth, Bobby Dunn''s first love was sports. Having been a basketball letterman at then-John M. Tutt High School in his native Augusta, Georgia, and University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, he never imagined that all along, he possessed a gift within to minister to the masses in song.
After years of sports and singing secular music for a few years, Gospel recording artist Bobby Dunn''s journey began in Christ by his appropriately titled CD "PREDESTINED."

b. ABOUT THE CD
His debut, self-produced CD is a chronicle of songs that begins and concludes in devotion. Key featured tracks include the CD''s title, "False Prophecy","When We Pray" and "On My Way Up to Zion.
"PREDESTINED is a Biblical story collection of songs that God has given me to present to his people," said Bobby. "As is my current spiritual journey, I want to take the listeners on a voyage, from the key to salvation, faith through trials of life, and finally, God''s promises of eternal life."
Bobby Dunn''s navigation with PREDESTINED begins, as in the Bible, with the story of the creation of man, his/her purpose and the origin of sin (TRACK 3 - "Watch Out Genesis 3"), warnings of false teachings and idolatries of this world (TRACK 4 - False Prophecy; TRACK 6 - Without Jesus; TRACK 9 - Time Passing You By/Left Behind) and, finally Christ''s promises of eternal life for those who believe (TRACK 11 - On My Way Up to Zion; TRACK 13 - He''s Coming Back).

c. BOBBY''S OWN JOURNEY
Bobby''s discovery of the vocal talent bestowed upon him by God began during his employment at Augusta Correctional & Medical Institution, now called Augusta State Medical Prison. At the inception of his employment, Bobby was responsible for organizing various band and groups within the institution. It was here that God revealed to Bobby his gift that he long kept within by it touching the ears of someone else other than his own.
"One day during one of the regular scheduled practice sessions, Bobby decided to assist one of the inmate groups with background parts. He realized by doing this he had enhanced the group background sound and before he knew it, he was doing a few lead parts. The next phase of this birth, Bobby had the inmate band playing songs for him and they were performing concerts for the inmate population. This became an annual event for Bobby to perform concerts for the inmate population and perform a song when he scheduled the two Inmate Talent Shows scheduled during the year. Though Bobby was performing for the inmate population, he had not taken his talent to the community, even though he did sing at a few weddings.
Soon afterward, Bobby took a chance and entered a talent show at a local night club, ingenuinely dubbed as "Showtime at the Apollo." On his first night in the competition Bobby sang the hit song "CARIBBEAN QUEEN" by Billy Ocean and won first place. Many nights thereafter, Bobby performed songs by R&B greats of that era and many have compared his vocal talent (i.e. Billy Ocean, Jeffery Osborne and he also has a range that allows him to perform some of the mighty Temptations, especially "Treat Her Like A Lady"). Bobby also love songs done by Luther Vandross and two of his favorite are "Here and Now and Superstar", which he has performed before.
Bobby later performed with local jazz and R&B bands and groups around town and performed in Atlanta at a talent show, a campaign managers party, and he continued to sing at weddings, receptions and other events in the local Augusta area.

I''M COMING HOME
Although he generated some income and had a small loyal following for a few years, Bobby still did not have the joy he was seeking.
In 1992 a greater change began to take place in his life. God was turning him around and leading him back to the church. Even though that "joy" was not yet found, God was changing his life. In 1994, Bobby Dunn abandoned the nightclub and secular circuit, dedicated his life to Christ, and returned to his family''s place of worship; Broadway Baptist Church, Augusta, Georgia. There he joined the church''s Sanctuary Choir, the Male Chorus, and most importantly, met his soon to be wife Cheryl (also featured on the CD, as well as his booking agent and manager).
God began to allow him to feel joy. Even though there were bumps and bruises along the way, God''s plan was right. Bobby stated; "I can truly say, Look Where God Has Brought Me From". When God spoke to Bobby, telling him that He can use his talent to tell the world about His love and His Son Jesus Christ, life has not been the same."
Bobby and Cheryl both joined a local ensemble/choir called Voices for Christ, with whom they''ve traveled to various cities throughout the southeast and appeared on an Augusta television program "Sunday Morning Parade of Quartets.

A NEW CALLING
In 1997, with his wife by his side, Bobby decided to go in a new direction presented by God. That directon was to organize a new gospel group called BOBBY DUNN & FRIENDS. As with all things, growing pains do occur while organizing a group. There have been members and musicians who have come and gone. Bobby said that none of the people could see that gift God had given him therefore, for various reasons, they were not willing to stay. Sometimes you have to crawl farther than you anticipated. Nevertheless, Bobby''s resilience and steadfastness never faltered.
In August 2000, Bobby answered a call from the Lord to take his ministry outside of the Augusta area into the world by recording his first CD. PREDESTINED, as appropriately titled, was a vision revealed to him. Not only during this new phase of salvation in his life, but through his life''s journey beforehand.
"Recording my first CD was a true step out in faith," said Bobby. "As I journeyed on under God''s guidance; growing in the acknowlegement of the Holy Trinity...God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, And in the twinkling of an eye, God has allowed me to give birth to "PREDESTINED."
Bobby purposely made "He''s Coming Back" his opening track to symbolize this as the first song God revealed to him to write and produce.
"This song was a gift from God for my acknowledging, in spirit and in truth, His Son Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light," proclaimed Bobby. "I''m just thankful, and deeply consider it a privilege that God told me to speak of Jesus and to use the Bible as he''s called me and others to do."
