The Blameshifters are a band that performs high energy punk rock sets and have
extensively toured the west coast. They released their debut album, "Feast before the
Famine", (which was independently recorded and released) in 2005 and their second, "Disenfranchised Anarchist", was again, independently recorded and released in late 2007. They have also been featured on several international compilations.
The Blameshifters'' latest cd, "Disenfranchised Anarchist", was inspired by a speech made by Howard Dean during the 2004 Presidential campaigns to the DNC, "When you corrupt the process of elections you''re not going to get anyone on your side, you''re just going to create another generation of disenfranchised Anarchists."
The Blameshifters featuring Pigman on bass, Mat Loman on guitar/vocals & Steveness on drums captured the cynical feeling that they, as a group, had envisioned for these songs. The band is hailed as one of the most reliable bands on the Northern California punk scene & has been writing, recording & performing together since 2003.
