Brett Perkins originally hails from Southern California, where his first professional outfit, power pop band The Sneaks, released two albums to critical acclaim.

Brett now lives in Denmark, with multiple album releases, film and tv song placements and 33 countries toured so far. He''s put out a total of 7 albums, including 3 solo efforts and three additional singles in Scandanavia: Staring At The Sun (1998), Last Bus Home (2000) and Danish Weather (2003), all of which have achieved radio play throughout Europe and the US, as well as the singles ''Closer'' (2006) and ''Ed & Bettys'' (2007) and ''When You Gonna Figure It Out'' (2008).

Brett''s co-written songs appear on several other artists albums including the debut single for DK artist Mads Langer, ''Breaking News'' with additional co-writes with Dana Cooper (Maura O''Connel), Una Healy, Boo Hewerdine (kd lang/The Corrs), Tim Kimmel (Johnny Cash,Shawn Colvin), Simon Lynge, Teitur, Kevin Welch (Will Jennings) and more continuing to generate live play.

The 2003 release of ''Danish Weather'' brought him critical acclaim internationally, along with film and television placements, along with yielding two singles, "Love Me Tonight" and "Scared Of Dying", in Hot Rotation on Denmark''s National Radio P4.

As an active co-writer and vocalist, Brett''s work also appears on several other artist''s albums, and he''s penned tunes with, among others, Teitur, Tom Kimmel (Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin) Kevin Welch (Will Jennings)and Boo Hewerdine (kd lang/The Corrs). His harmony vocals also appear on several artist releases, including the Runrigs'' 2000 release ''In Search of Angels''.

Brett''s also known to many in the European and US songwriting community as well as the founder/producer of the Listening Room Concert Series & International Songwriter Retreats (held annually in several countries) and for his involvement over the past twenty years in various leadership roles in the songwriting community, including past executive director of the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation, six years with the National Academy of Songwriters (Hollywood), Publisher, SongTalk Magazine, Founding Partner, Unisong International Song Contest and 10 year screener for TAXI.

As a presenter, he''s worked with over 2000 artists, including legendary writers from Stevie Wonder to Burt Bacharach, Joni Mitchell and Randy Newman.
