Dear Friends, July 11, 2005

Warm greetings from all of us at Timberholme - it is our privilege to present this new album to you.
Life takes us all on vastly different journeys, and yet we share so many thoughts and feelings. We need each other - I find that patience and positive vibes become more important every day, and that the rewards of friendship increase in proportion to the love and energy we give.
The songs have come through various circumstances - some from reflections on life, some inspired by lives of others, and (as if I could do anything about it) there are a few new looks at love.
I must give thanks to many people, but first (after, of course, my life-love and wife Karola) to the band - Richard, Ray, Johnny, Lee, Ronnie, and Keith. Secondly, to the guest musicians we''ve been lucky enough to add: Saffron and Camille Henderson, and, from the warm (actually, I''m talking about the people!) island of Aruba, Raphael Everon and Roberto Varona.
Behind the scenes are a host of helping hands - please accept our thanks and know that you are appreciated, even if your name doesn''t appear in the bright lights here!
And now to the matter of counting small blessings - one of my recent discoveries is that laughter has been scientifically proven to release endorphins - so we have renewed our efforts to appreciate the wisdom in the favourite quote of Sir William Stephenson (the Man Called Intrepid), "A merry heart doeth good like medicine".
It seems that we must balance our lives to be strong, and energy comes from so many places. Inspiration is to be found from all kinds of stories - one we just heard is about a retired German doctor who now lives, and helps people, in Zimbabwe. Dr. Schales says that the treasures in his life are other people, especially the poor and the sick, and their helpers both in Africa and the developed world (https://www.tradebit.com).

Be strong, be happy, and let''s keep working together for a better future,

Tim Lawson Langley, British Columbia
