Details:
Toxteth infuses his Reggae roots with 60''s Pop sensibilities, coupled with Trance and Dance elements to create something entirely new, without losing sight of the infectious Reggae rythms he uses.
After playing as a guitarist in London based Reggae bands Dambala and Inner Force during the late 70''s to mid 80''s, Toxteth turned his attention to computers and found new ways to work with music and the musical process. After several years of study and development it became obvious that he was finally in control of the whole "creative process" and thus began a new phase in his creative career. After releasing two instrumental CD''s - "Subliminal" (Deep House) and "A Handfull Of Succulent Riffs" (Reggae) - Toxteth discovered it was possible to combine the two different genres and create a whole new genre he likes to call "Treggae" and so came to pass the EP that sits before you now. It''s taken me almost a year to complete, but it''s here now and I am pleased with the result. It''s the first EP I have released complete with vocals!
The bonus track "Swan Lake" is included becuase back in 68 the original Reggae version by "The Cats" was the first Reggae record I ever bought, this version is updated a bit and therefore different from theirs but it is dedicated with love and thanks to them...
